I'm going to guess a Quarterhorse mix, because I'm more familiar with them and have seen a few as skinny as he is. When he gets fatter his legs will probaby look a little shorter.

Also, he doesn't look too tall (unless the boy is quite tall!). And also, because QHs can have so many breeds mixed into their backgrounds! I especially love his elegant face.

If he is a standardbred and registered with the USTA he would have a lip tattoo or a freeze brand on his neck. They only started using freeze brands in the United states a few years ago. Its possible, depending on location, that he was not registered as standardbred, ie, some standies or standardbred/crosses coming out of Amish country are not registered with the racing association. I met a interesting standardbred/percheron cross that came out of Amish country. I am not sure if he is a standie or not, but he looks sweet! I hope you two have a great time together no matter what his breed.

Hey guys sorry it took so long to get back Have been busy.
I check for a tat and there isnt one. But I did get some more pictures of him.
What do yall think of hs progress? Does he look any better?




When I can't ride anymore, I shall keep horses as long as I can hobble along with a bucket and wheelbarrow. When I can't hobble, I shall roll my wheelchair out by the fence of the field where my horses graze, and watch them!

I'm not going to chime in on what breed I think he is for the simple fact I'm not experienced with that. But I wanted to say he's such a sweet looking boy, and good luck with him!

I don't think he's a standardbred was raised with that breed.
Would say a warmblood cross or TB cross Maybe with Draft JMHO ( But you know how that goes)

I'm still seeing Thoroughbred :). He looks like he's coming along nicely. He'll definitely be quite the hunk when he's got his weight and muscle put on.
