Show me your Shetlands.

I haven't seen many posts for shetlands around so I thought I would start one for everyone to show off there cheaky hairy little ponies not matter what type whether they are British type or American show them all.

Here is my nine.

Have at it and enjoy both the photos and your little ones.
Zora and Chevaux like this.

Never judge a book by their cover, also never judge a pony by their height. They tend to be big personalities in little packages.

Ahhh, I absolutely adore shetlands! We have two, a little mare and a little gelding- and theres just about nothing they can't do.

This is Cowboy, our 14 year old Shetland pony gelding. He's a total sweetheart and does anything you ask of him. He drives single and double, is one of my main therapy horses, jumps, has participated in multiple rodeos and parade, and can be ridden as a bridle horse. Add that to being pretty much 100% bomb proof (unless he sees a pig!) and he's definitely the kids favorite pony!

Then we have beautiful 7 year old Myss Pony, who was originally bought as a broodmare but who we have also retrained as a riding pony. She's a bit high strung so I really only use her off and on, but once you get her working, you'll never see a harder working eager to please horse. Add the fact that she's absolutely gorgeous and you've got a pretty nice little horse!

Chevaux likes this.

Thank you. Yes, he has a bit more of the traditional build, doesnt he? And his winter coat is just rediculous, especially living in Texas xD he's an absolute doll though and we wouldnt trade him for anything!

Thank you! I love it too xD A perfect 'end of the day' picture after a day of hard work for both of us.
