First off, I apologize if this is in the wrong place in the forum. It just seemed to be the closest match...
This might sound totally ridiculous.
I'm working with a young grade mare who is assumed by her owners to be a QH X of some kind, although nothing is really known about her breeding. I noticed when I first started working with her that her posture while trotting (in the round pen, no tack) is pretty "showy" looking, meaning her neck is arched and she has a relatively high tail carriage.
It reminds me of what most Arabians I've seen look like, so I'm wondering if the way she trots could mean she is part Arab (she does have a very slight dish to her face as well)? If not, is this just a random thing some horses do, or are there other breeds associated with "showy" movement and high tail carriage?
