Hey Meg. Its a western discipline. You do it with cattle. I have not done it yet but I am going to try this year in Warkworth. I have an older quarterhorse mare. Its looks to be alot of fun. The horses bite the cows bums and chase them. Its kind of like what a border collie does.
Hey this is spoiledrottenpenner I posted this question. There are 32 cattle at one end of the pen and there are three numbers of each number, 333,555,444,ect when you get into the arena the anouncer calls your number and you have to go in get all three of that number and then there is a pen at the other end of the arena and you have to put the cows in there. There are three people in the arena at a time those are the three cattle workers it takes alot of team work bt it is so fun I actually got second at regionals last year because there person won should have not been in that class he was way more advanced. But he still only beat me by 1.5 seconds. :)
Go to you tube.com and then click catagory's at the tope click on animals and then go all the way down to the bottom and type in team penning. Or you can go to AQHA.com click on winning runs go to cow working horses and then click on team penning the first one is good but the picture below it about the girls in pink is my best friend she was 2006 AQHA world champion and reserve champion, in team penning. :)
