You should. You would probably love it. They do practice runs at the barn where I board. (for beginners) everyone is so relaxed. And the horses really seem to enjoy it.

YO THE SHORTER THE BETTER I know a guy that has a horse that is 14.3 and does it it is actually a whole lot easier on the horse if you have a short horsebacause it puts you closer to the cow. Same thing with barrels short horses can scramble.

The barn where I board breed barrel racers. My horse is an ex barrel horse. I have never seen such speed. I am not into barrels as I prefer trail but it took me forever to convince my horse not to run barrels. My baby is 14'3 but she's built a bit too big for barrels.

Ya my mom is a barrel racer and most of the horses that she had were race horses they were either retired off the track or had racing blood in them. I actually have a mare that is an appendix breed she has mostly tb in her she is super fast the people who owned her before me said that they never actually just let her run because she was so fast and they owned her for 8 years.

Are you going to do barrels on her? Hang on tight. I don't know how they hang on while wrapping the barrel
