    What breed do u think?

I have a slaughter rescued gelding named Eclipse. I was told he was a thoroughbred (non racing of course as he does not have a tattoo), but he shows some characteristics of a quarter horse too, so I was thinking he MIGHT be an appendix which would explain somethings and I don't think they knew for sure what he was, more like a guess. He is 16.3 hands and has a light mane and tail (u can tell is some pics), but idk if you can call it flaxin or if it is just bleaching even tho he has it in winter too.

You can sorta see the light mane in this one:

And in this one you can see the dent above his flank from when he was abused before we rescued him:

I would say TB. If he is appendix quarter, he has more TB than quarter.
I would not call that flaxen , flaxen is the Blonder manes.
He is what I would call a sorrel or chestnut with pretty white legs and face.

I would almost bet the farm that he is a TB. I have a TB mare that is built exactly like him. Shalom

Thanks! I was thinking tb, but there were times I had my doubt, my trainer did too

With withers like that and his height and build, I would wager TB too. He's super pretty by the way!

TB, just because he has a slightly lighter mane doesn't stamp a horse as QH. I know stacks of TBs, WBs and other breeds that have the lighter mane including in liver chestnuts.

It wasn't the lighter mane, it was a few factors.

Thanks! He wasn't always like this, it took a little while to get his weight back and everything, but now he is pretty again and such a sweet boy :)
