I don't see Friesian, either, but definitely some kind of draft cross. You mention Dales as a possibility, which leads me to ask- what country/region are you in? That might help narrow it down a bit!
I know EXACTLY what she is!! She's what my mare is! A Canadian horse! People said my mare was just a 'perch cross'
I found her breed in just 1 horse book, they are about 15 hands, have one hell of a neck, are the ancestors of Morgans, mine has the common problem within the breed of having a bad reaction to bug bites. Big heart shaped bums are another characteristic. They look like short, round, stocky friesians (IMO). I thought she was a huge Dales or a tiny percheron too! Look up Canadian Cheval and Canadian draft horse and you'll find all about them!
I'm so excited to find another Canadian owner ^^ Canadians rock!!
This is mine showing off:
I'm certain this is what breed you mare is - if not, then a Perch cross, but I doubt that. My mare went auction to auction, then bad trainer to worse trainer to me at 7 y/o Free-To-Good-Home situation, completely untrained. She has come a long, long way. I was amazed to find out I had a little treasure ^^
Thanks you know something i think she is she also has a bad reaction to bug bites, thank you soo much i now think i know her breeding your horse is the spit of zara, she is gorgeous by the way
Thank you! your's is too I love the breed! She's fantastic except for her constant itching belly, she'll lay down and rub her belly into the mud :P I'm so excited to see more people with them! They're the perfect all-around horse!
