Invest in a rope halter dear it will be worth not having a vet bill.

She looks like a QH cross to me. QH can be very fast.

All the comments about how she's tied are mean to prevent your horse from being hurt. Trust me, a calm gentle horse tied wrong can end with severe injuries before you even have time to react. Please please be more cautious and thoughtful to your horse's well being when tying her.

You are probably annoyed by now of people telling you this but I was pretty shocked when I first saw the photos, really would suggest for yours and the horses sake to not tie her like that especially with a bit like that. A snaffle is one thing but in a curb... Ow.

Anyway, I suggest some better pictures with someone holding her or her halter hitched so she will stand square. Both sides, front, back...etc.
Also I don't quite understand what you mean by "is she any good" every horse is good. Just some have better training and conformation to qualify them 'better' by some standards.

Breed wise, I defiantly see QH. No doubt in my mind she is that or possible appendix, where are you located? Looks western / south western in the photos but that could be wrong. If so, I would be comfortable saying QH.

Guy's stop being jerks and answer her question the bit wont do anything to the horses mouth, the reins arent tied and she and other people are right by the horse. Anyway the horse looks like a quarter horse to me but a very calm buetiful horse so don't worry about what other people say!!!!

No one is being a jerk... they are genuinely concerned about both her and her horses safety. No one attacked her or called her names, Etc... they simply stated they were concerned. I was quite alarmed on first site of the picture too. And YES the bit will hurt the horse! Let me put a piece of metal in your mouth and then tie it above your head, see how you like it. A bitless bridle can be just as bad too. All tools in the wrong hands can be dangerous. I am not judging the OP or saying that's the case. She mentioned it wasn't tied just looped and it was only for a second and that she doesn't normally tie that way. I will give her the benefit of the doubt like the others. You coming on here calling people names is completely uncalled for! What are you 12yr old? The OP cleared up the misunderstanding so there was no need for you to spout off rude comments.

Actually, yes, the bit can do tremendous harm. It is a leverage bit where the curb can put tremendous pressure on the jaw bone, as well as the bars of the horse's mouth. Remember, even a little pain from a small tug on the bit can cause panic. That panic can lead the horse into all out struggle. Horses are seriously hurt that way.

Remember, whenever a photo is posted, you may have to learn a lesson you didn't expect. Take it in, learn, and move on.

Back to the question, I would guess a QH cross, too. It may even have a little TB mixed in.

please be carefull the way you tie your horse I know you just stoped to take a pic but it doesnt matter if you just do that for a second if your horse spooks its going to hurt the horse very bad, at least puta halter on next time a person who is lazy (not saying that you are don't worry) is someone who doesnt need a horse because they are lots of responsibilty!!!
thank you

Well you have already been well handled about your statement on the bit being dangerous, But I also wanted to add that no matter how many people are near the horse, a horse not matter how calm can do tremendous damage to itself in seconds before anyone can even act.

She looks like QH or QH/thoroughbred to me.
And just to ad a little note nobody else has said about the way your horse is tied... If she spooks and the wood breaks off, it will likely spook her more, and could very likely hit her as it falls. Also it looks like the reins are kinda wrapped around the wood, which means that if something were to happen, there is a good chance that the reins and wood would get caught up somehow and she could get her mouth jerked by its fall or she may drag it along if she takes off... And if she takes off with reins flapping around with a piece of wood beside her body and legs, there is no telling what could happen.. Especially if she manages to put her leg through the loop for the reins and happens to jerk on them suddenly with her leg..
I'm sorry, I'm not saying this to be mean, I'm just saying so you know. Also what you can do is stick a halter on her underneath her bridle for whenever you're not riding her like this
