I don't want to sound rude but he's probably a bit of a mutt. I bet he has a little bit of everything in there.

Hopped up? If you mean Hot, getting excited....no. A good barrel horse is a calm, controlled horse that will run when asked. Especially if you are just teaching her she should be calm as possible.

I don't see any particular breed, I see a flat croup (arab or morgan) with a stockier body, so possible quarter horse cross?

Looks like qh x arab to me. Lovely pally, very pretty

No matter what road I travel, I'm going home and if I'm riding a horse I am halfway there.

He reminds me a lot of a horse at my barn, I'm not sure what breed she is... but she looks a bit drafty and she is short. I'd say 14 hands.

Qh? Maybe BS Paint? Maybe some Walker in there?

I think if there was Fjord in there, the black would be in the mane as well. (but that's just my limited experience with fjord crossbreds)

I would guess haflinger mixed with mustang, because it looks like she has primitive marking, the dun stripe. But that also could be the lighting since its not that dark.

Well if the lady is right and she is registered I'm going to say Quarter Horse. She's stocky and built like a QH.

As for a Mustang, I don't think so. Unless she never went through BLM (doubt but could happen.) she'd have a freeze brand. I'm pretty sure they freeze brand the left side on the neck of the horse, she doesn't have one on that side.
