what breed is he?

ok so my friend has a horse that is supposedly a tennessee walker and i have been trying to find out his actual breed for a long time because he reminds me nothing of a tennessee walker. So recently we measured his height and he is in pony size of 14.2hh so i have been thinking about his shape and the characteristics about him and his head and everything. See he stays slender all the time but obviously not a thoroughbred or anything but then he gets really fuzzy and has lots of feathering sometimes. So for some reason i started thinking welsh pony. We have even thought of friesian before but i highly doubt that one. Maybe fell pony? i just don't even know...what do you think?

here's some pics...

this is him in his tack.

summer time pics...

him parked out..(this is like the only trait tennessee walker like that i see in him )

his owner riding him bareback (see how fuzzy he gets)

so what do you think?

Is he gaited? His conformation looks a little Walker-ish to me.

Then why can't he just be a short TWH? Either that or a grade horse of mixed lineage (which is probably more likely).

yea maybe but i had a tennessee walker and my other friend had one i had to sell mine and hers died but they both were absolutely different compared to this horse. I know he is definitely not full tennessee walker. He just don't seem like it to me.

Umm.... I'm thinking he's probably a mixture? Is he gaited? If i remember correctly in pictures 3 and 4 he looks like he's trotting. I don't think he's a welsh pony and i'm pretty certain he's not a fresian. Fell ponies really aren't that common. So I'm thinking probably mostly TWH mixed with something smaller that made him a little guy.

Sure does. I agree with all the above. Looks like a TWH cross.
