When I got him he was also hot. He settled down after a couple of years though. He still an unusually high level of stamina for his estimated age, but is happiest to just stand around.

He is definitely not just a QH - he has virtually no QH/stock type traits. Except for perhaps being equine.

I vote Saddlebred, possibly Walker.

He is suuuuper cute!!! Love the markings. I'd guess Spotted Saddlehorse. If you google images "Spotted Saddlehorse" he looks almost exactly like some of them!

He's a great looking horse, & I , too love the pic w/the matching dog! Since you say he had that "extra" gait, I'd say spotted Saddle Horse or Saddlebred Cross-he's definetely a "looker". Hope you find a great home for him.
