What breed is my gelding?

Hi everyone! I'm new here - I just found the forum while looking for a place to ask this question. Its kind of driving me crazy....thanks for reading my post!

I got this gelding April 1st last year. He was on a truck with about 50 other horses coming from a dispersal sale in Montana on his way to Ohio. I plucked him off the truck at a layover in Minnesota. He was in rough shape and very freaked out but he's turned out to be a wonderful boy. I've tried to research his brand but haven't been able to find it in the Montana brand book. Its a freeze brand and looks like this, only rotated 90 degrees with the bar on the bottom: ))|

I'd like to know what breed you all think he is? He's about 15.2 hands and he's pushing 20 years old. He has a thick winter coat in this picture. I'm leaning towards Arabian but my farrier doesn't think so. What say you?

By the way he looks, I'd say quarter cross. Possibly a quarab.

He almost looks like he has some draft in him. He is very wide in the chest. I do not see any arab.

Looks Quarter Horse to me, or maybe a cross. I don't see much Arab there

Let me post another picture - this one is from the first time I met him and he looks like crap but its a different view. He's very short backed and round through the croup. He doesn't look like any quarter horses that I've ever had. He's more up-headed and round thru the barrel. He has very stout legs and wonderful hard feet. I wonder if he has some BLM-type in him?
