I was told he was a Miniature, but he is so big! He's about 42" (I don't have a stick, just a measuring tape) tall. He is a big sweetheart, and I trust him alone with my 2 year old. He isn't a "cranky pony" at all.... what do you guys think?? Do mini's get tall like this? BTW I am 5'2" and that'm me in the pic....
Lol, hmmm... does look like a mini but then it doesn't. I would definitely say mini or atleast mini/(some kind of pony cross) I have never really seen a taller mini but I am sure they are out there. I am sure someone else will come along with more mini experience and let you know.
Actually, now that I think of it.. he could be a shetland or a cross breed..
But, if the person you bought him off of, told you he is a mini, he most likely is
He's a gelding and the lady I got him from rescued him and we really have no history on him. She just guessed because he was smaller than her QH's lol.
Thanks everyone... I was thinking that there could be shetland in there somewhere, I just wanted to see if anyone had either a) a BIG mini or b) new another breed he could be. Oh well, he'll just continue to be my gigantic mini
I would say American Shetland, but more likely Miniature Horse.
