I say that he is a QH. How old is he? He looks like a fairly young horse to me (less than 4).

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

Yep, I still think he is a QH. Maybe he is just bred a little differently. Plus, all the fluffy winter hair is not very good for seeing details. My QH Flash has that same face kinda. I wish I had a better pic. Yours is a real cutie though. I can't wait to see in the summer when he is slicked off.

I would say that he is a quarter horse, or at least has some quarter horse blood in him.

My daughter saw a picture of Flash and said, "That looks like Bobby." He's the QH I usually ride.

Are you absolutely sure you wanna mess with my carrots?

He is to tall to be a quarter pony, maybe he is a smaller QH? But I know he is to tall.

12 days until Twiztid ( i get to see my Jamie) then two months until graduation.

how many hands is is? Looks like pony size from the pics, but hard to tell, regardless he is most likely QH.

I am unsure of how many hands he is (how do you measure/convert anyways...?)

But he's a tall boy. He's the tallest in the barn...so he's definitely not pony sized.

If you don't have a tape that does the conversion, then use a regular tape measure and go from the ground to the top of his withers. Take the reading and divide by 4 (there are 4" to a hand).

Truthfully he doesn't look that tall, pictures can be deceiving but he looks like he is about 14.2~14.3h.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

maybe you are just a big guy LOL. I thought same thing he looks about 14.2 or 14.3 on the border between pony and horse. There are horses that seem more pony like but are just horses by the virtue of their height and vice versa, its not big deal. He could easily be all QH but just on border of "horse" my sister had a quarter pony growing up. He was about 14.1. Great pony!
