What breed is this pony? o.o (pic heavy)

I've just adopted this pony that I've been working with for a while now at our rescue. I just couldn't resist taking this one home! His name now is Diamond (that may change). Now I know my horse breeds fairly well but I'm at a complete loss as to what breed he is! He came from 'out west' on a truck with haflingers, but he's definitely not that. I live in the Northeast of the US and it's very rare around here to find a pony that isn't stocky or typical pony looking - so no one seems to know what he is!

After a good roll, sticking his tongue out:

Full body:

Naturally Athletic

For size comparison (I'm 4'10")

Just cause he's so freaking cute!

Thanks everyone! I'm very curious what ideas people have about my mystery itty bitty horsey xD

He is a stunning color, love him. The pic of him trotting he looks kind of Welsh to me

I wouldn't say definitely not Haflinger, but obviously not full.. Maybe a super short Haffie cross haha.. IDK, just throwing it out there. :)

Some Haffies come in that coloring, though yeah, commonly flaxen chestnut pangare.

I would guess there's welsh in there. He's a very beautiful boy!

Could he be a mini cross?

No, no Haflinger is going to come in this colour and be pure bred...

Close. Silver brown. You can still see the lighter soft parts, and you can also see the darker legs, consistent with brown based dilutes.
