I want to say some type of Welsh. I have a welsh pony, and their body types are very similar. Right down to the bit of feathering. My boy's in his winter woolies in this pic, but you can see how similar they are.

There on the tips of fair fresh flowers feedeth he; How joyous his neigh,
there in the midst of sacred pollen hidden, all hidden he; how joyous his neigh

He's actually sooty silver bay - it's hard to tell by the pictures, especially his winter coat - I'll see if I can get a good one today in his summer coat. The sooty factor is what gives him his giraffe legs xD

Wow he definitely does look similar to that! But he's so much lighter built? We have a welsh at the rescue too, not sure what section but he's built like a bull dozer - so I didn't even think welsh's came as delicate as Diamond

Welsh ponies come in 4 sections. Section A, B, C, and D. A being the smallest, and D being the largest.

Section A:

Section D:

No matter what his breeding, he's an eye catching little fella! Congrats on finding a diamond in the rough!

Whatever he is, he'd have to have been from a breed which carries Silver and not many really do.
