What color is my appy?

What would you call this color? She is the big one on the left.

she would be concidered a solid appy. I have come across several over the last few years. Is she full appy?

All horses deserve, at least once in their lives, to be loved by a little girl.

No, that's not bay. There are no black points or black mane/tail. That's liver chestnut. Like this:

I have to agree, dark chesnut. I don't know that I would consider it a liver chesnut though, the last liver chesnut I saw was almost black like the color of real liver (like the organ) LOL. But yeah, some chesnut variation.

Beautiful horse by the way.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

Is she registered? If she is not, the people might have just told you that. There are solid appaloosas, but, without papers, it's hard to tell. Is that the only picture you have of her?

She is a beautiful sorrel! Deep red coloring =] I would call her a deep red sorrel aka a Liver Chesnut as Liver Chesnuts can be dark red, and there is such a thing as Black chesnuts. Very helpful link:
