What could he be mixed with?

So I've been looking at pictures of pony breeds, and trying to figure out what Duncan could be mixed with. Neither of his parents are registered as anything, but I know that they're definitely not Shetlands.

He's a year and a half old, and roughly 10hh.

Here's his head:

And here he is from the side-- you can see how long his "ankles" are (that's what I call them). And the farrier is scheduled to come, so ignore is long feet. You can also see how he has a slight Roman nose (I love his face )

So, pony experts, what do you think he could be crossed with? I'm hoping he'll top out at about 11hh. That would be awesome.

I have no idea what he's mixed with but he is very pretty.

Thanks :) I love him to death. I'm thinking of teaching him to jump, and to pull a cart. He needs a job.

Honestly, he does look like a shetland to me
He definitely has the typical Shetland face.
Here are just a few pics of pinto shetlands...

He could be a Chincoteague, Caspian, or maybe a Hackney?

American Shettie.

Spent a whole hour today laying in a pasture, waiting for a sparkling vampire to show up. Alas, I woke up and looked over, only to find a mound of horse crap. Sigh.
