What do you guys think of ANGLO ARABS??

My friends sister is after a dressage show pony/horse. As her beloved horse 'Monty' passed away from colic. She is inquering about a anglo arab. I havent had much to do with the breed, what do you think?

This picture was when the mare was in foal, that's the only picture Aleisha sent me.

Thanks guys

My mom just bought as Anglo Arab and she's the sweetest thing. They are great horses, medium sized, and are beautiful probably becuase of the arabian ancestry. Though if your friend buys an Anglo tell her they can be sort of sickly so ask if they've had any sicknesses before you buy. My moms Anglos had 4 colics, and some other sickness as a foal which starts with a D but I can't remember how to spell it, I think Demitristitis. And her Dam had cancer in her left eye..

I pesonally think anglos are wonderful but depending on the horse, they can be quite fiery :)

I've never heard of the breed being notoriously sickly but it probably wouldnt pay to find out. But, all in all, I think they make lovely horses and if everything fits what you are looking for then I say, go for it :)

She looks like a nice girl...nice eyes :)

Hey sweetypie,

Anglos in my opinion are very nice, they are a reliable allrounder. Her conformation is pretty good, and she looks quiet sound looking at her legs. You can tell she has had some dressage work in the past as you can see the definate crest. I love her eyes to jazzyrider. :P Let us know how she goes sweetypie

To be honest its really difficult to say something from a picture BUT I think the best thing your friend needs to do is have a ride on a few horses that she is considering buying and find out which one she feels good on.

Yes I agree with tracey... her trying them out, is the only way for HER to like them... it doesnt really matter what we say. But yes, overall anglos are beautiful!
