What do you guys think of Curlies?

I have curlies and I love them mostly because I'm allergic to horses and I can handle the curlies without having real health problems.

I don't breed and none of mine are for sale. But I'm good friends with a couple breeders and promotion is always a big deal for such a small breed.

So what's your opinion of curlies? What impressions do you have of them?

I can't post pics here at work but you can look at my barn to see my horses. I make no claim that mine are a good representation of the breed. I chose my horses based on their size and the not-allergic thing.

Thanks!!

I've never had any experience with them, but I really like the way they look. I can't wait to see your pictures.

Thanks! Draft cross curlies are fairly rare. I may have collected most of them

I love curlies! I spent 8 years working with them and getting to know the breed. They are an amazingly calm wonderful breed!

I worked with a lady who breeds them in Piketon Ohio. They are neat horses. The thing I found odd about them (besides their coat) is that they have a hard time forgiving you if you treat them wrong in anyway....

100% Anti-Slaughter and PROUD of it!

We bought one back when my middle daughter was very allergic from Windy K Curlies in Oregon. He was a straight curly except for his wavy double mane. He never lost his mane or tail which I really liked :) He was very easy going once he got used to something.
