Smile What kind of horse do you think he is?

This is Blue, a recently acquired horse. The previous owner said he is about 17, but our vet says he is around 13. The previous owner also said that he is a purebred Appaloosa, but my mom and I think there is some kind of draft in his bloodlines. What do you think?

Ps- I'm working on uploading additional photos

What, specifically, is it you are seeing that says "draft" to you/your mom? The picture you posted doesn't show anything particularly drafty - so, yes, other photos would be most helpful.

What would make you think he has draft in him? I see a leopard Appy.

As for his age, if the previous owners had him most of his life, I'd go by their assessment and not the vet's. Aging by teeth isn't an exact science.

He kind of has a POA look to me.

I can't get any of the other pictures to upload. Once I get a full body picture to load, you might see what I'm talking about.

He has a very dense bone structure, more dense than any of the other Appaloosas I have worked with. He also has a larger head, and feet that are closer to draft sized than a light horse.

Here is another one, not very good, but it has his full body.

He's very gentle, and big. He stands between 15.3 and 16 hands, and weighs more than 1400#(per the vet).

    JK, it didn't load

Need a side view. Preferably with no tack on. He looks like my paint qh type gelding. I bought him as a paint and very one who encounters him says he's an app.
