It used to be bays but I'm head over heels for palominos now!

My favorite color is fat. =) I don't care about the color of their coat, as long as they are nice and plump.

If I HAD to pick, I would say blood bays or bays with lots of big fat round dapples.

Spent a whole hour today laying in a pasture, waiting for a sparkling vampire to show up. Alas, I woke up and looked over, only to find a mound of horse crap. Sigh.

I'm partial to blacks and blue roans. I don't have any good pictures of my blue roan mare here, but this guy caught my eyes awhile ago http://www.virginiacowboy.com/sitebu...25-781x521.jpg.
But my mare has a color preference. Any brown or black horse, solid or not, can walk by and she wont blink. A palomino or a grey walks by and she has to turn and watch and keep her eye on it at all times.

Buckskins. But I do have a soft spot for sorrels. I am also a big sucker for duns, be it grulla, bay dun, dunskin, red dun you name it...

Oh and roans....

Sorrel/chestnut .. I seem to always get stuck with them anyway, LOL. I've had pinto, grey, bay, cremello and 5 flippen sorrel/chestnuts. Oh well.

I think someone already started one of these! But I'll answer again anyway! Not sure I have a 'favorite' I do have favorite shades of every color, but if I had to pick it would be between grulla (light silver preferably), golden palomino, or buckskin dun.

Grulla,

Golden Palomino,

Sorry no pics of buckskin dun.

Heisler Quarter horses offering stone our foundation blue roan stallion standing at stud, working cow and ranch horses, cattle services, horse sales, foal sales and training That would be his page, a 2001 AQHA Star "Stone" Hancock. He's a perfect example of the blue roan color. My mare used to look that steely as a yearling, but she ended up blacker and then it bleaches so she looks more like a bay with serious roaning.
