Well i looked it up and here is a picture. Wow i never knew that horses could be born without hair. I wonder if they can be ridden and all like horses with hair, would a saddle pinch the skin??
Oh my gosh. That is strange but they are still nice looking. I think it would be easier to judge their conformation because you can see the flaws easier.LOL
I was just reading an article, on google. And it said that they dont always survive to adulthood. They can burn quite easy and be prone to skin problems etc.
Most of them die at a very young age, some of them are born with other problems and what not. Altho there is a Percheron named Harry who has no hair except a few tail hairs and a few mane hairs, the lady who owns him use to ride him when he was young but he became to lame due to arthritis, she said that if he wasnt on the special diet and care he would die. They are very rare and mares who have given birth to them have never given birth to a hairless before and most likely never will again. I kinda feel bad for them because it would be very painful to have your whole body burn.
At first I thought it was just its hair color, but it is actually hairless. Poor little fella I wonder if it is more common in light colored horses.
