Wrong papers?

I just bought a AQHA mare, we brought her home last night. I was looking at her papers this morning, and they say "star, no other markings". However she does in fact have a small snip. I am thinking either these are not her papers at all, or could there be a chance they overlooked her snip when registering her as a foal? Is there a way I can find our for sure? DNA?
I would have bought her even if she didn't have any papers, but I guess I'd just like to know if she is in fact registered.
You can see her snip in the pic in my avatar.

Congratulations! I love a sorrel horse.

The avatar clearly shows a star but if you mean the white on her nose, it could have been overlooked or not prominent enough at the time her papers were sent in. DNA, if her parents are on record, will certainly verify her pedigree but, personally, I won't worry about it.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

my horse's papers also say, "star, no other markings" but he does have a snip. I think snips must be harder to see when the horse is younger, and as they age it sometimes gets more visable.

I have a mare with a bit of white like that on her nose. You can only really see in at certain times of the year and you really have to look. When they are foals it is very hard to see so it could have just been overlooked.

She if she has been DNA typed. If she has (will say on her papers) then just have it checked against what is on file. If not then you will need to have the sire and dam DNA on file and then DNA type her and parent verify her.

Ok thanks everyone. That's was I was thinking, if she was registered as a foal it may not have been visible at all, seeing that foals often have a mealy muzzle. Her papers to not state she's been dna typed (it would be stamped "parentage Verified" correct?).
I'm still happy with her weather she's registered or not

NO papers being marked DNA Typed and Parentage verified are 2 different things. The horse can be DNA typed and marked on the papers but not be parentage verified.
