What are your favorite Appaloosa bloodlines and why.
what`s your favorite color.
Why do you like them.
I want to know why people like Appy`s over any other breed.:)

I would love a grulla mare witha spotted blanket, but I dont think I'll see that any time soon. Big fan of spotted blankets:D

I love the breed because they are tough, athletic and easy on the eyes. Some lines are good for distance riding, as a breed they are very sound and sane. Next to my arab I would go with an appy any day. My filly has the best mind I've ever seen on a two year old.

As a rule I steer clear of halter horses, not a fan and they are typically useless for the long miles I ride, but my filly is all halter on the top side(Coolest Dream) and pleasure bred on the bottom, and it some how is a great cross? I'm a big fan of some of the old foundation lines.

Mine are all either Kings Heir babies or Awesome Stetson babies. They are so versatile and have amazing minds. I would love a black blanket. But i have a chestnut snowcap, chestnut blanket and a chestnut few spot snow cap.

I want a Leapord Appaloosa soooooo bad!

My mom is an Indian and she grew up with Appaloosas and then we had a couple when I was little. I kind of think her passion about them was because of how Indians bred them and made them popular.

I competed in barrels on one until I was eight and then they decided to sell him. :(

I love their personalities. Every one I have ever met has always been really sweet. And they can pretty much do anything you want from endurance, to barrels, to trail riding. And yeah, they are nice to look at. :)

Im a fan of the spots, though, I tend to like the old time foundation appies better than the "Quarter horses with spots". I just love the uniqueness...The stocky build, big head, rat tail(LOVE that part haha) and those stocky feet.
"Chief of Fourmile"
My family when I was little had Foundation Quarter horses with the same characteristics, but never did have any appies...

RC EXCLUSIVE DANCER
These are the one's that I love...varnish patterned...shuffler...

I don't happen to know alot about the breeding and bloodlines, but I have seen some really nice ones with "unknown breeding" that made great trail and barrel and roping horses. :)

I don't have a favourite bloodline.
But I want a buckskin (doesn't matter what pattern as long as it has spots) appy, or a strawberry roan few spot.
The reason I love Appys:
My true soulmate was an appy mare named Nellie. She taught me a lot of things, including what TRUE friendship, and complete trust in eachother, feels like, and she showed me what true love is really like. Every day I could I'd hop on her bareback and go trail riding with only a halter and leadrope on her, in the summer we went on an overnight camp, and once helped out at a camp our barn was hosting.
In a field of two horses she was the least dominant. One day i went to close the gate, didn't know the other horse wanted to see me and had threatened to kick her if she didn't move. She moved, but she placed herself directly between him and I. He kicked with both hind feet, and she stood there and took it because had she moved outta the way I woulda gotten the blow square on my back. I could have been killed or paralyzed from that kick, and she staved me from it happening...
In september we went to one horse show and won a few fifths and fourths.
Then came october... One weekend i chose to sleep over at a friend's instead of going to see her, and the next day when dad picked me up he had a grave face on... When I got home mom was bawling and she wrapped me in a hug... Nellie, my horse, was dead...
She died of abdominal cancer... And today is the 6th anniversary of her passing...
She is the reason I love Appys <3

I don't know much about Appy bloodlines, but I love leopard Appaloosas. I also like a lot of Appy crosses.

Many years ago a friend of our family had a spectacular Paint x Appy.He was black and white paint covered with black leopard spots and the build of an athletic sport horse. Stunning! I've never seen another horse like him.

I know I may be a bit biased, but I am very partial to my old guy who is a Clyde x Appy. Sam would be a grey roan with dark points, mane and tail and a loud spotted blanket. He's very unique. People either love him or hate him.

I have always loved the Appaloosa breed of horses. Last Easter I got the chance to buy an Appaloosa Mare that I jumped up on. She really is the dream horse for me. She has an care free altitude, but she is sassie, sweet, loving and even looks for advice from me at scary times. She has done wonders in getting the major joy back into horses and brighten my mood up. She doesn’t care if I see her once a day everyday or barely ever. Every Appaloosa I have met have been just like her.

For bloodlines I have fallen in love with the Toby foundation lines.
There is nothing more beautiful than a loud leopard appaloosa. My boy here is Blue Roan.. As i have seen black leopards, nothing compares to the blue & silver shine in the summer months.
I never liked appaloosa's until my gelding, actually hated the breed!.. And he out of all the horses in the world. He is the one that stole my heart for life!
I love his character and his goofy demeanor. We connect, Met our match and just love each other unconditionally. He was a rescue, but we saved each other.
