Appy base colour

As many of you know, I work as a wrangler at a summer camp. This year we got about 14 new horses and this is one of them. I was wondering if you guys could figure out the base coat, please? I can't get anymore pictures because I'm at home for the night and I'm going back tomorrow, but won't be home again until next weekend.

Come on Po, you know that with Lp in the mix it could be pretty much anything =P

What colour are the spots on the points?

You (we) can't tell from that picture - a brown spot could be chestnut, bay, dun, brown, any number of base colors. We would really need complete pictures, and even then with Appys it can sometimes be hard to tell. Bay is normally easy to spot by remaining black hairs in the mane and tail and often times bays will have a few black or near black spots in addition to the brown ones...
