Bay or Chestnut?

I just got this beautiful girl yesterday. She is registered, but I haven't received her papers yet so I can't give a name. She is a wonderful horse and I am in love with her head however I was told she is a registered bay and she looks very much like a chestnut with a grey/silver mane. She doesn't have black legs so I figured that's a dead giveaway. I was just wondering opinions? I'm sure I will be correcting her papers!

Chestnut for sure. With flaxen and sooty causing the silvery grey mane.

Mods, grant me the serenity to see the opinions I cannot change, courage to change the ones that should change, and the wisdom to spot the trolls.

Thankyou, I was pretty certain on the chestnut the mane was really what I didn't get. Well that and how they could possibly say bay lol. Thankyou though

I had no doubts that she was not bay, it made me laugh to hear that. I guess he was under the impression she was a silver bay, but I was certain chestnut just not certain on why her mane is so grey. Thankyou, I had the vet out for a check (since she's new) she checked out healthy, but needing to gain a few pounds AND turned out to be in foal. Wowzers that was a surprise, I contacted her previous owner and he said she must have gotten in with his Cremello stud. Looks like I will have a little palomino on the ground sometime in May. She doesn't look pregnant at all, but has been started on supplements so she should be up to par before foaling. Thankyou she is way prettier in person and like a giant puppy
