Can I register my horse without knowledge of the sire?

I have a 4 yo paint mare I would like to register as a paint. Without knowing her sire, can I do this? Her coloring is pretty obvious...

Not as a Paint, no. You will need evidence that both parents are purebred.
But contact the pinto horse association. I know you can register pintos if you only know the sire, but im not sure if it works for the dam as well. It's a color registry, whereas the Paint registries are breed specific.
