Color me confused.

Ok so I need someone to confirm my thinking because the stud my friend bred her mare to can't be cremello right lol? Basically he is supposed to be cremello and the owner of the stud said both the stud's parents are palomino so he should be a typical cremello in theory. But he sired a buckskin with a chestnut mare and that can't be possible unless he carries a black gene correct? I'm fairly certain he is homozygous agouti since all the mares he's been bred to besides sorrels have been buckskin and when bred to chestnut mare's they have been palomino besides the odd bucksin that popped out.

So basically I'm asking if he had a buckskin with a sorrel mare he HAS to be be Perlino. I have pictures of the stud and the buckskin colt but I do not own the pictures so I will PM you the pics if you would like to see them since I do not want to post pictures without permission.

Foal
I read that as both of the stud's parents were palomino, but the stud sired a buckskin from a chestnut mare.....

Yes. Basically there is a cremello who's parents are supposed to be palominos, so he must me cremello by those parents. But he sired a buckskin with a chestnut so he can't be cremello lol. Sorry if I didn't make that clear. I was brain storming at the same time I typed that lol.

What's the stud's name and where is he registered.

Your basics are right palominos are red based, created a double cream red base, means that the double cream red base can't create black base with another red base.

The other question is, did the red mare get covered by a black based cream on accident after breeding with the "cremello" and the other question, was the foal DNA'd to be by the "cremello"?

He is AQHA registered Macs Magic Goldmine. The sorrel mare is owned by the stud owner and she has no other studs.
