Question Curious as to what color my colt is? Input pls :)

Bo is a QH, coming 2 in May and I'm not sure about his color. I know that they can change as they age and most definitely with the seasons. But even with that aside, what would you call this color?

This is him last fall - approx. October

And this is his winter coat

And a close up in the sunshine :)

People ask me what color he is, and I'm really not sure what to tell them.. lol so I discribe him and end up sounding like a tool.
Thanks in advance for any input :)

Honestly, he looks like he's greying out to me. He's really young, but as he ages he'll get whiter and whiter until you don't see the pigment of his base coat anymore. What a pretty boy, welcome to the forum!

I think he's either rose grey or grey roan. Kind of need better pictures to be sure. He's a cutie!

I agree with the others on grey

"If a horse fails to do something that is because he was not trained to do it. If a horse fails to do something properly that is because he was not trained properly."

He looks to be a grullo going grey. I have never seen one in the grey-out stages before, but my mare was 'on paper' a grullo when she was born and I bought her a few months ago and she is a really pretty rose grey color. So, maybe that's what he is. Kinda nice to see someone with the same color going grey. Maybe grullo going grey isn't as uncommon as i thought. :)
