Genetic testing to determine breed?

Are there any genetic tests that can be done to determine a horses breed? Seems I read that they can do something like that for dogs.

No. People may claim it, but the tests are not correct. Just like the dog ones are a waste of money and essentially a scam.

I have a friend with a purebred Border Collie who tried it. He found out he has a purebred German Shepherd...

Haha. I have wondered on occasion what kind of response you would get if you sent horse hair in for a dog breed test...
