Mostly. I mean, if you have tested the parents and they could only pass on certain genes and you knew what the only possible outcome of a foal would be then that would mean you didn't have to test... Otherwise it's off to pull hairs for you lol.
A side note - if a horse is a true few spot, and not a near few spot, then they pass on an appy pattern of some description 100% of the time.
