Ideas on my mares colour, Chestnut with black in tail

Hi all

Just a little question about my 4yr old mare, she is passported as a chestnut. She is a welsh sec d, there is sabino in her past, as well as bay, and black and also roan lol.

She is what I would of called a flaxen chestnut, but has a line of black hair through her tail, I have been told that chestnuts can not carry black pigmentation. She has lots of white hairs in her coat, she has 4 white socks, one on her back is a sock then a white patch, she has white eyelashes in the bottom, and lighter tips of her ears. I hae some pics

She looks to have some sabino ticking as for the dark hairs that's not that uncommon it could just be some regular colored hairs in her tail that didn't become flaxen. Chesnuts can actually get some pretty dark manes and tails. This horse is chesnut not bay.

Thank you looking at the sabino chestnuts, I can see what you mean, and having sabino in her bloodlines does point to it, will be interesting to see her full summer coat, as she is shedding, in pics from last year she was almost palimino.

Will she fade as she gets older?
