Learning basic color genetics.

This may of been posted before, so my appologies if it has.

I've recently been wanting to learn about color genetics though, and stumbled across this site. It's absolutely fantastic. It explains in simple, easy to understand terms and gives an illustration of each color and the ways that you can dilute/hide/create different strains of it. Very interesting and actually quite a bit of fun as well!

This site is wonderful. Lots of pics of real horses, many of them tested. And loads of very knowledgable people on the forums ready and willing to help answer questions. Although, if you are asking about a specific horse they will often point out that the only way to really know what the genotype type is...is to test the horse as many genes can be hidden and altered in the phenotype.
