    new mini, color guess

So I was given a mini mare from a friend last night. They were calling her a grula. I'd love to hear everybodys opnion. I can't tell if that's a dorsal stripe or counter shading. Her mane & tail are black with frosting in it. I know she's massivly overweight, but we will work on that with a proper dite

She is most definitely a grulla and that is definitely a dorsal stripe! She's a cutie! I bet she'll look fantastic when she sheds out.

Grulla is a dun. It's black with run actually.

In this pic, I would guess grulla. Would be nice to see what color it is in the summer.

To be sure, you'll have to wait until she sheds out in the summer. If you shave her, it may not show her true colour, but she appears grulla. Just a note. That is a ton too much hay for a mini, in that feeder.

Feathered, It's actually only 2 flakes just all pulled apart. She's a little unsure of the feeder & I wanted to make it easier for her to get it out. She's also in with my donk, so they are sharing.
