    Random sock color question

What would you call this coloring for the sock? Is it even a sock or just some random brown/bay leg thing? Pretty much just wondering for giggles and grins because I've seen 2 horses up here now that have this.

That jaggedy sock is probably being caused by the sabino gene, which is also what is causing the roaning effect up his leg ;)

I agree. Definite sabino with those feathery socks (technically the one in question is a fetlock since it isn't high enough on the leg to be a sock).

That's interesting to know, that would be carried over by his QH side correct? I can't recall Morgans having any sabino's. It didn't even dawn on me that it was sabino, I'm still kind of in the stage of solid = solid and paint = paint

Sabino can be very discreet when it wants to, so there is a chance that Morgans can carry it. You'd mostly notice it in any socks and blazes, though, as it would not necessarily cause any "paint-type" markings unless coupled with another gene like frame or splash.
It can, however, on rare occassions cause mock-roans like this filly
