Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone else knew of any brindle horses other than 'slewcy' that have Seattle Slew in their pedigree. I find it interesting that this mare was brindle and my boy is brindle and both have seattle slew on their papers. I wonder if there is any kind of link to Seattle Slew carrying a recessive type brindle gene??? Sharon Batteate that was keeping track of brindles posted the mare 'Slewcy on her site. Any insight would be appreciated!
I don't know of any that are directly related to Seattle Slew... Maybe your horse and Slewcy have another horse on both pedigrees that is the culprit lol.
Anyways, here is a brindle stallion I know of Dunbars Gold Quarter Horse
Maybe, I have been browsing for a while now and also have spoke with the person that manages the Brindle and Striped Horse registry. SHe also indicated that some of the horses with Seattle Slew had some brindling. Just thought it may be a small piece of the puzzle on the pattern.
Dunbar's Gold-I love that horse! I spoke with his owner just under a week ago, she was excited to see there was another brindle stallion around.
