Patience please as I am not technologically advanced. I have a new baby this spring and am curious about his coloring. Foal coat says palomino. His dad is a pali without a doubt and mom is either seal brown or liver chestnut - could maybe be smutty bay but I digress. If it makes any difference in opinions here is color history Dad(pali) sire is pali, dam is sorrel, Mom(reg bay color in question) sire is black overo and mom is red dun tobiano. As he is shedding out his neck and topline are the color of heavily creamed coffee and he is very metallic, his underside looks like it is dusted with cinnamon though where he has lost his foal coat. So far his head, neck and chest are foal coat free and he is losing it in patches elsewhere. Has anyone seen this shade and what would it be called? Grandad could be choc pali or very smutty pali with white mane and tail no black in them, dad has no smutty body coloring but a black line of mane and tail hairs not visible from the topside. I can post a link to grandad I think.
