    Is she a true black?

I was thinking about buying this foal, it was said that she is pure black, but I wanted to make sure. The dam is said to be black and the sire a red dun. I don't have pictures of the dam, but I've included some of the the filly and one of the stallion.

On a side what do you think of her? Is she worth $500?

I'm assuming she's AQHA registered? If she is grade, no. If she's registered a lot will depend on how she is bred. I'd also ask for conformation pictured of her. What are you looking to use her for in the future?

I'm not sure on her color, she may be a sun bleached black or she may be brown. I'm no good at foal colors.

All things aside I also think it's in pretty poor taste to leave cockleburs in the mane for sale pictures. It does not say quality seller to me.

I'm pretty sure the sire is sorrel with no dun. His coat doesn't have the right shading for dun and, unless he's rocking a true dorsal stripe, he has no other dun factor markings.

That being said, the filly looks to be black.

Black. And she is a nice looking filly. Sire looks nice conformation wise overall. I would pay 500 for her. Maybe a little more.

So ya'll think the light brown around her eyes are the foal coat coming off? Yes I think she is registered, goes by the name of Mac N Beauty Sans, will one of you browse her pedigree and tell me what you think? Aqhaseiowa.com/siteassistpro_images/cbj/pedigrees/lulu.pdf

She looks like a well put together filly and if she suits what you want to use her for then $500 is probably worth it: and she is true black I think the brown your worried about is just sun bleached foal coat.
