    Tobiano

If a horse has a completely solid topline, can it still be a Tobiano?

Simple answer? Yes it can. Tobiano does not HAVE to cross the back for a horse to be tobiano.

    Thanks! :)
Are there other ways you can identify it, if mixed with other patterns?

Tobionos usually have no head white except for their blaze.

It's hard to describe what to look for. Is there a certain horse that you are questioning and perhaps can post a picture of?

PHM - Any white on a tobiano's face/head is caused by something else. Tobiano does not cause face white.

Yes, caused by something else, but blazes are not uncommon in horses typically classified as Tobianos in the registry.

Don't go by what the APHA registers as set in stone. I own an N/O SPB and if you are an APHA member, look up Smooth Move Doc. Registered as a tobiano with a completely white head up to his ears. They only regard phenotype and have no interest in genotype.

Ponies - If you have the horse owners, permission then yes otherwise I wouldn't post it.

Ok. Well it looks like a frame/splash, and pretty much looks like #9 but with cleaner edges and obviously no white on its topline.
Lol. It also has two spots like the one 8 has.
