What color?

This is a mini I work with. What color is he? His owner can't remember the name of it but says it's a "mini only color". His sire is the exact same color. Don't know about dam.

Black silver. And it's not a "mini only" color. Silver is in a few breeds.

Silver dapple. If you shaved him he would be grey (white kind of grey) with dark circles.

Black Silver. The owner is not well informed. It is a colour found in many breeds. Cute little guy. Needs his feet done.

Yep, silver dapple (black with silver), and he's a cutie.

Silver is in some of the gaited breeds (RMH come to mind) and it's also found in Shetlands. I rode a silver dapple Shetland/Quarter Horse cross a couple of years ago.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

There is also silver in a line of AQHA and APHA horses. Gypsys, TWHs and morgans also have silver.

I'd say black silver, maybe a dark sorrel.
