Found this horse while browsing around online. Sadly they didn't give any more pictures. I am pretty sure he is a tobiano, but I am confused by the base color. Why is his head a totally different color than his body?
I don't think the head is a totally different color I think the lighting of this bad photo is giving it the illusion of a darker color. It's hard to tell the true color due to the bad lighting, but it kinda looks like a bay, buckskin or smokey brown tobiano. Posted via Mobile Device
The freckles on the underside of the chin make me think there's probably sabino in there. Which could account for the body being lighter if he's "roan" through the body. Roan horses often have darker heads and legs. But it is a bad picture to judge from.
