What color is my gelding?

I'm wondering what color is my pony? He's a Corolla wild pony, Mustang, he's got lighter feet, but no socks. Only markings on him is his star, he does have hidden dapples and and silver hairs [not noticeable unless you're next to him or looking for them.]
I just realized, while looking for good pics, that he slightly seems to be getting lighter, bottom upwards...Is that even possible?

Yes, I know he's fat, please don't mention it.

Chestnut (or sorrel, depending on where you live) with flaxen. The flaxen is causing his paler mane, and also the really creamy legs.

He is a flaxen chestnut/ sorrel.

My old man is this color he tends to get darker as he ages but his light points stay the same making it seem like he is getting lighter, on the bottom points but really isn't.

Flaxen sorrel. And I love Corrollas! I've seen pictures of the ones at Karma Farms!

Apparently I'm the only one on a forum that owns one, lol.
I tried starting a thread for the breed and no one had any. =(
