What color will he become?

The Last Tragedy, named in memory of his sire Tragic September, has me stumped. Both his parents are/were dark bays but he looks like he may become black when he is older. What do you guys think?

I'd say probably black, but do you have any better pictures?

Also, just judging from Mom in the picture, she may be a black as well but they can appear to be a dark brown if they get sun burned or if they fade.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

I agree, black for certain. I'm about 98% certain that momma's black as well.

Gorgeous pair.

Mom is registered as dark bay as was Tragic September. So I'm stumped. I'm going with black.
