4 to 5 year old Lombok mare rescued from pulling a Cidomo on the streets for the rest of her life. About 14 hands. I have had her 3 days. Love her structure and color. Seems like a nice little horse. Her feet are a disaster however. Severely contracted heels and thrush.
Everyone's thoughts?
Needs a name too guys!
I think she's a very cute little horse! Don't see any glaring conformation faults, but that pic seems to be from an angle (above) so may not be the best for judging that. Plus I'm no confo expert. From what I see though, she's got a nice hip and shoulder. Her neck is a good thickness and ties in well. Nice short cannons, underline is longer than topline. I can't tell much about her hocks with the tail in the way, but from what I see they aren't bad.
As far as names the first thing that comes to my mind is Zelda. Also something like Gypsy, Molly, or Cocoa (not original, but hey, lol).
Her should is a little too straight, back slightly long, and she's lacking topline. Her throatlatch is not clean either. She appears to have a kind eye, and mostly I think she needs a home where she'll be properly cared for.
she is a nice example of her breed. her backlegs are either sickle hocked, or she is standing in a bit of a pain stance, trying to take weight off the front.
More recent photo this is definitely a pain stance in the right rear being more under her. She is not sickle hockey but the thrush is both rear feet is much worse then the front. The right rear is the worst. She is getting daily hoof cleaning, weekly trims and exercise. Her right rear is still painful so it is nearly impossible to treat alone.
