    Hey guys,

This little mare isn't mine, but she belongs to a friend and we'd like to know how her conformation is.

I'd guess she's around 14-3/15 hands tall and she's not saddle-broke. She's actually only recently been halter-broke. She's never really been messed with her entire life more than being petted on. She's got one helluva attitude, too. ;)

She is registered TWHBEA as Penny Ten Pin (out of TWHBEA reg. Joyace Faye and by a chestnut stallion whose reg. Name constantly escapes me...). 'Penny' was given to my friend along with her dam, though her dam was given to me (and I intend to post pictures of 'Joyce' up for critiquing once she gains weight and looks better).

    Thanks!

Her right front leg looks crooked. Her hind end is a bit on the weak side. The hip/sacro-illiac is set back too far.
Neck is a bit short and a bit ewed. Good bone in the hocks, and short canons, both fore and hind.

Agree with above comments, but the sacro area looks problematic, not necessarily 'conformational' but postural, due to unresolved injury. She doesn't look comfortable to me. Think possibly same with front legs - I thought left fore looks more turned out though. The narrow chested & turned out fores could be conformational, but if there's something jammed in there that could be fixed... tight saddle, too heavy rider, etc.... I'd get the horse to a good vet chiro & only have light rider/riding on her until she's right.

^Good oh, missed that bit. So that won't be exacerbating anything then Hopefully a good chiro can get her in good shape before that happens.
