Okay so this was not planned and I should really not be talking about it yet but......I just received some VERY VERY good news :)

Long story short, I have been in love with this little gray gelding for his whole life. I was there the day he was born and for about the first year of his life I saw him on a daily bases. I have always joked with his owner about him being mine and how she is just holding him for me, or when she comes over with her trailer I always tease her about the fact that the gray better be on that trailer I am ready for him to come home, and whenever I talk to her I always ask how my horse is doing. She lives in the county next to the county I live in (really like 15 min away) and her house is "kinda" on the way to town so I always drive by or make my boyfriend drive by just so I can catch a glimpse at the gray.

A little back story on his owner, she is a horse collector. Not bad, as in she just continues to add new additions, but bad as once she gets a horse she never lets them go. She only has 12 or 13 right now, she takes very good care of them and they have it made. The first horse she has "sold" in the past probably 10 years was when she surprised me with my mare on Christmas morning back in 2008. My mare was her college graduation present from her father, she had gotten her when the mare was about 6 months old, so I was only her 3rd owner. So its quiet a complement to be sold one of her horses in the first place seeing as she lets them go to no one and if she does she is very picky. I look up to her a lot, she is about 10 years older then me, but has filled in as my horse mother/mentor.

Anyways, back to the gray. About 3 months ago I finally made my move and asked how much she wanted for him, she then jokingly said "How much you got" after saying I had whatever she wanted she told me she had things in the works for him to be sent to a local trainer and that when he got back from the trainer and if they did not click then she would sell him to me. I told her I would not forget this and have not really talked to her about it since. Then today I was texting her about what she had been up too and about how my horse was doing, she replied with "a lot of working and a lot of riding" but that she had not had much time for the gray due to her other young horse that she has been trying to put a good foundation on. Then she kinda slid into the comment about how she was thinking of selling a few. I then made the comment that she could send the gray my way and she basically replied with Okay! :)
We talked over a price and although nothing is set in stone yet I AM SO EXCITED. We made plans for me to come out Wednesday and Thursday of this coming week for me to ride him and just play around with him and really decide if he is the horse for me :)

I CAN NOT STOP SMILING!!! I hope he works well for me!!!

Its so funny that I am so in love with him because he is the opposite of what my usual "horse taste" is. He is 1/3 Tb 3/4 QH, if I am not mistaking. His mother is the one with the TB on her and when I looked at her papers a few years back nothing jumped out at me, but I also know nothing about TB lines. I remember seeing Native Dancer and a Playboy name but that is about it. His mother is a flea bitten gray. As far as his father goes all I can remember is he was some nice AQHA chestnut stud, I looked at his lines around the same time I did his mothers but can not remember his lines, I want to say he had Two Eyed Jack in him but can not remember.

Anyways, he is still going through those awkward years, he is very tall and narrow looking but boy is he a beauty! He is a gray with so much chrome! Just take a look at the few pictures I have of him. Not the best photos I will be snapping ALOT when I go to ride him :)

I would love to get yalls input on him, from what you can tell with these pictures anyways. Be as cruel as you want :)

Also, I am looking at him as a barrel prospect but really if he did not take to it I would be happy just to have him to look at :)

The 1st picture is of him about 6 months ago.
The 2nd and the 3rd are pictures taken of him today while his owner was down at the barn, his mother is standing to his right.
