Am I crazy?

.. or does this mare look to be of decent conformation?

I was doing my nightly TB searching.. seeing as how I'm really interested in the breed, and found a mare who sounds nearly perfect.

- five, almost six.
- 16.1hh
- unraced TB
- already knows her lead changes, has done small courses
- forward gaits
- $5000 (in our price range!!)

Do you think she might be worth a look if I can get in touch with the seller?

Looks decent enough to me, very eye catching. Nice price too, you are in Canada, correct?

I'm in New Brunswick, so yes. Finding a horse who is so close to what I want has been surprisingly difficult.. so I was really thrilled to find her. I sent an e-mail to the seller, but if I don't hear back, I'll be calling. I still have to discuss it with my dad.. but I'm going to convince him to make a day trip out of going to see her, as it's a seven hour drive.

I want to eventually try some dressage or eventing.. so she sounds perfect. :) I'd be more than willing to put more work into her though as well.

Very nice mare. Wish she had a bit more bone.. but that is about it.

She is nice hunter lines on top.. and Quarterhorse on the bottom.. so not 100% thoroughbred.

The Thoroughbred lines are very Hunter and the QH lines are very solid.. with racing in there.
Nice Cross. Nice size. Too bad there is no information on the sire side of her Female Tail. The female side of the female tail is the solid QH with racing lines.

Thanks for the critique, I was hoping you'd chime in. :)

And yes, I noticed after I posted the thread and I think it's a really nice cross.. I'm really hoping my dad agrees to taking the trip.. as he has a business trip to a place about two hours away so he's going to think about it. I still haven't heard back from the seller, but I don't know how the e-mailing on that site works. I'll definitely be calling about her if I don't hear back by this afternoon.. although by the looks of ads, she's been up for sale since June. The person selling her actually has a sport horse farm, so her training up until now has been pretty solid. :)

Very nice mare. The only thing i can pick out in my opinion is that her back appears just a tad too short and her cannons are long.
Other than those 2 very minor things, she looks very well put together indeed

I noticed that too.. if only my dad would make the trip down to see her, but he said no. I'll have plenty of time to find my "perfect" horse though. :)
