Oh dear. I hope what I'm seeing is just bad camera angle and yearling fuglies. O.o

From that pic, his back looks long, he has sickle hocks, his neck is seriously ewed...and there's something weird about his front legs that I can't quite put my finger on.

Do this poor guy a favor. Let him grow into himself for another couple of years, THEN come back and ask us. Or at the very least, make sure he is standing square and that the pic is taken at a 90 degree angle to his side.

I don't like to do any kind of critique on a yearling because I don't know what they will and won't grow out of.

As he stands, he does have a long back, a ewe neck very long pasterns and an oddly sloped front left (and maybe both front) foot.

I am not critiquing anything that is related to Walter. I love Walter. Joey is not photogenic at the moment, not fair to him.

Haha alright thanks guys. I'll let him grow more before the next one! He does need some corrective trimming on the front though, he is toeing out a bit. And yes, long pasterns. I'm not sure on the ewe neck- Walter was cross tied near by and being a tard, and I think Joey was trying to look at him lol.

Next year I hope he looks better!

Oh those yearlings! It looks like the back end of one horse got stuck to the front end of another horse. BUT... keep this picture, when he's got some more maturity and balance you may not believe he was once this gangly!!
