    Appy X ?

Hey there just curious what other people might think this new appy gelding is crossed with ? He can be very high stepping and carries his tail pretty high? Also would like anyone's opinions on his conformation feel free to point out anything since we bought this boy for his attitude not his looks :) The only information I have on him is he was rescued from a neglect situation in November of this year and once he was doing better he was put under saddle he was broke before that but wasn't used much and he's between 7-10yrs old. Thanks look forward to hearing any opinions on him !

I will leave the critiques to more experienced memebers, but I would just call him an appy. You say he's high stepping so the breeds that come to mind are saddlebreds, standard bred(sort of see it), or maybe a foxtrotter. I don't see Arab. Granted these are all breeds I have ZERO experience with. Lol. I think he's really cute. Personality is more important.

Thanks! And ya we do just call him an appy but out of curiosity my cousin and I wanted to see what other people thought since we debate all the time what he might be crossed with he is extremely smooth and really moves like an Arab but I agree that I don't really see it in his looks and I'm not familiar with Saddlebreds so wouldn't know what it felt like to ride one!

I'm not that great at this, but he looks somewhat similar in build to other Appaloosas I have seen. My Appaloosa also lifts his tail, especially when showing off, so it is not necessarily from another breed. I must add that he sure looks cute! :)

That head says standardbred to me, but he could have just had some hammer headed parents that weren't necessarily standardbred. He's cute!
